چکیده
We present a study of the influence magnetic field strength and morphology in Type Ia Supernovae their late-time light curves spectra. In order to both capture self-consistent topologies as well evolve our models late times, two stage approach is taken. early deflagration phase (1s) using variety strengths, find that topology set by burning, independent initial strength. time (~1000 days) spectra with topologies, infer strengths from observed supernovae. Lower limits are found be 106G. This determined escape, or lack thereof, positrons tied field. The first employs 3d MHD local burning approximation, uses code Enzo. second hybrid approach, 3D radiation positron transport, spherical hydrodynamics. HYDRA. models, amplification remains small during phase. Late-time bear imprint morphology. Implications for alternative explosion scenarios discussed.

The physics of antimatter induced fusion and thermonuclear explosions
The possibility of using antihydrogen for igniting inertial confinement fusion pellets or triggering large scale thermonuclear explosions is investigated. The number of antiproton annihilations required to start a thermonuclear burn wave in either D or Li2DT is found to be about 10/k, where k is the compression factor of the fuel to be ignited. We conclude that the financial and energy investme...
متن کاملThermonuclear supernovae: simulations of the deflagration stage and their implications.
Large-scale, three-dimensional numerical simulations of the deflagration stage of a thermonuclear supernova explosion show the formation and evolution of a highly convoluted turbulent flame in the gravitational field of an expanding carbon-oxygen white dwarf. The flame dynamics are dominated by the gravity-induced Rayleigh-Taylor instability that controls the burning rate. The thermonuclear def...

متن کاملSpectropolarimetric diagnostics of thermonuclear supernova explosions.
Even at extragalactic distances, the shape of supernova ejecta can be effectively diagnosed by spectropolarimetry. We present results for 17 type Ia supernovae that allow a statistical study of the correlation among the geometric structures and other observable parameters of type Ia supernovae. These observations suggest that type Ia supernova ejecta typically consist of a smooth, central, iron...
